These talks have broken down, however, and the reason provides further proof, as if any were needed, that efforts by Israel to achieve “peace” with the Palestinians are a fool’s errand.

Jules Crittenden: Apparently climate is a natural process, and it changes, according to a groundbreaking UW-Milwaukee study that notes that it changed in 2001, when it stopped its 30-year warming trend. The article states rather optimistically that the new study “could turn the climate change world upside down.” I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Richard Fernandez: My own guess is that while Pelosi may get Holder to let the Chronicle set up its Bay Area monopoly, for political and ideological reasons if nothing else, in the long run the solution to the newspaper crisis lies elsewhere.
