Charlie Foxtrot: Apparently the official Obama spokes-lackey ex-communicated the latest heretical deserter to leave the church of The One.

US Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fl 8^th District): “I’m sorry Limbaugh called for harsh sentences for drug addicts while he was a drug addict. I’m also sorry that he’s bent on seeing America fail. And I’m sorry that Limbaugh is one sorry excuse for a human being.”

Ed Morrissey: If the first six weeks of the Barack Obama administration can be summed up in one sentence, it would be this: Obama fiddled with Rush Limbaugh while Wall Street burned.  Politico reports that the demonization of Rush Limbaugh comes as a deliberate strategy by Obama and the Democrats, who hoodwinked people into believing that a Chicago Machine pol really wanted to change the partisan nature of politics.

Victor Davis Hanson: …if you did not actually hear conservative elites tsk-tsking Limbaugh’s weight, marriages, and past addiction, then you would have to invent them doing so. We saw all that with Palin and the demonization of her multiple pregnancies, blue-collar husband, twangy speech, and Idaho B.A.

Victor Davis Hanson: But there will come a time, when you will rue the politics of class warfare and the rhetoric of the demagogue–and may find the very intensities that you are unleashing for political advantage now, later on will be precisely those that you most regret that even you cannot control.

Bruce McQuain: About those tax cuts…Who in the world do you think will actually end up paying the “cap-and-trade” bills?  It’s the “excise tax” of the ’30s and will have the very same effect.
