CliffHanger on LIBERAL COGNITIVE DISSONANCE DISORDER

When I stop to consider all the different examples of LCDD and their various permutations, there is one that baffles me more than any other and that is the modern Liberals’ indignant stand on “torture”or more specifically water boarding.

I’m confident that most of you reading this are aware of the practice known as water boarding and that you have a firm grip on what it entails. I’m far less confident that many of you know the details of what the water boarding of three al-Queda operatives yielded in terms of intelligence. It is crucial to know what was learned, what terrorists were captured and what attacks were prevented before you pass judgment on the relative morality of water boarding hardened terrorists

Declassified documents show that Abu Zubaydah revealed the names of Rahim al-Nashri who was responsible for the bombing of the USS Cole, Ramzi bin al_Shibh, a 9/11 conspirator and the notorious Khalid Sheikh Mohammed(KSM) the mastermind not only of 9/11, but also the 1993 World Trade Center Bombings. KSM also claims to have beheaded American journalist Daniel Pearl and also claims to have been head of al-Queda’s biological weapons programs. All three were captured following Zubaydah interrogations.

Once in custody, KSM refused to reveal any information about future attacks, taunting interrogators that “soon you will find out”. Once subjected to water boarding, KSM revealed a plot to take down the 73 story Library Tower in Los Angeles. He also identified the Guraba cell tagged to take down the tower, Hambali(the terrorist responsible for the Bali nightclub bombings) and Iyman Farris who was convicted in a plot to bring down the Brooklyn Bridge and Yazid Sufaat, an operative working on a Anthrax weapon in Kandahar.

That’s the list of what has been declassified. Imagine any of the disrupted plots coming to fruition and then stop to think about September 11, 2001. KSM’s plot resulted in 2976 deaths and 7000 plus wounded. The man is pure, unadulterated evil and his victims were all innocent civilians. The fact that water boarding Zubadayah and KSM resulted in disrupting plots designed to kill as many innocent civilians as possible and terrorize Americans from coast to coast proves to me that evil can be defeated when those in charge take their most solemn duty seriously.

This week on the Drive Time Happy Hour, we had a grandstanding, liberal blow hard call our show. In a vain attempt to demonstrate his moral superiority, this lib foolishly claimed that he wouldn’t water board someone even if it meant saving his own child. To those who claim that water boarding pure human evil like KSM has diminished our “moral standing” in the world, I say that it’s proven our moral standing and if you think that refusing to subject a terrorist to harsh treatment is unacceptable even if it saves hundreds if not thousands of innocent American lives, it doesn’t make you morally superior, it makes you amoral.
