When they elected Obama, most voters wanted competence, bipartisanship, sobriety, and responsibility. On health care he’s 0–4, but the only option the Democrats have is to keep going. In fear of death, they’ll risk suicide.

So if we really need 34,000 more troops in Afghanistan it seems the White House could send administration leakers there and still have some to spare. Except they’re proven security risks, and demonstrably not qualified to hold clearances or deal with classified information. So scratch that idea.

The Big Green Machine: Tim Flannery, chairman of the Copehagen Climate Council says the publication of documents taken from the British CRU suggesting some global warming data may have been manipulated only “reveals the depth to which climate skeptics will go to influence the course of events. … It does nothing to throw doubt on the climate science”.

I don’t know where these people got their scientific education, but where I come from, if your theory can’t predict or explain the observed facts, it’s wrong.
