It appears that Rep. Giffords is on a road to recovery. That is good news. The entire event is so terribly tragic it becomes hard to believe that the discussion is about curbing free speech and whose speech is responsible for this. That is an entirely different tragedy. It’s as if the left cannot grasp such a thing as human nature on any level. For instance…there are radical Muslims who want to kill you. There are nut jobs in this life who want to ‘watch the world burn’ (borrowing a line from Michael Caine in The Dark Night). Can we legislate whackos? Some believe we can. I believe it is a fool’s errand.
Given a second chance, Sheriff Dupnik reaffirms that this shooting is linked to people like Rush Limbaugh. Really?
So the lefties have broken the financial back of Illinois and the answer is…you guessed it – take more money from the masses. I do not believe this trend is going to stop. Why? Because the solution is obviously to cut spending but the left would rather just take more money from tax payers.
We know that it has become hip to poke fun at Christians in America. How wild is it that the same holds true for the whole world? The difference being that in other parts of the world Christians are being killed for what they believe. Is this a trend?

Obama is trying to express his Christian Faith a bit more these days. As we have been discussing, he does have an identity problem with 20% of Americans believing that he is a Muslim and 42% of Americans not sure if he’s even an American citizen. So now for open public consumption Obama is going to Church and speaking about his “Christian” faith in secular settings now. Do you think this is sincere or is he playing politics? Even in the context of this sudden delve into faith, Obama continues to mangle the meanign of Genesis 4:9. The verse has nothing to do with the so called Democrat value (if there is such a thing) of being ‘your brother’s keeper’. So, if this outward expression of faith is sincere…he certainly has trouble grasping the meaning. Thus, his faith is mis-guided.
But let’s take it at face value. If Obama is to convince Americans that ‘we’ have to provide health insurance because ‘we are our brother’s keeper’ and if Obama is to foist his understanding of religious views on American values then why the speech below? As well, let’s not forget that Obama is mangling the true meaning of Genesis 4:9 which is the story of Cain and Abel.

And then Obama tries to explain how his “faith” dictates that marriage is between a man and a woman.
Even though we cannot figure out where Obama really stands on these issues (what is new?), where do our laws come from? How do we know what is right and wrong? How do we know that murder is wrong? Ultimately, there has to be a reason that we have the laws we have. Let’s chat about why?
Again with the cartoons. Good grief some folks just have a one tracked mind.

I can’t help bringing this up because Chris Matthews is now asking the same question I’ve always asked – ‘Why doesn’t Obama release the long form version of his birth certificate’?
Your kid wants drugs. Why not get them started early? Build a foundation before you push them out of the nest. It only makes sense. Doesn’t it?
One of Obama’s talking points that annoys me, as if they all didn’t, is the idea that he is going to keep companies from shifting jobs overseas. If the lefties continue to seize control of industry via regulation which hinders creativity and growth in America….this is what we have to look forward to for many years to come.

The Obama Administration’s policies to basically print money and fund just about every thing under the sun should cause one stress, however Obama cut funding for abstinence programs.
