Now he is working on a TV program called The Common Chef and heavily involved in aquaponics in Florida. He now spends most of his time growing fresh fruits and vegetables and then cooking fantastic meals on his TV show. It is a show about 3 friends who travel to different locations and cook for whoever shows up to eat. He still has plenty of political commentary as well. LIBERAL COGNITIVE DISSONANCE DISORDER(LCDD)

Last week we barely scratched the surface of the very real financial danger all Americans face if the Democrats “climate change, cap and trade” schemes become law. Every single individual and business, whether rich or poor, big or small will face massive increases in their electric bills and fuel costs. Piled on top of that, will be a reduction in fuel and energy supplies. The increased price for energy and it’s reduced availability will undoubtedly lead to massive price increases in every single consumer product and service. Relatively cheap, readily available energy has driven the American economic system. The richest and greatest economic system in history will be crippled by the unsustainable demands conjured up by the American leftists’ voodoo science.
It may already be too late to stop the current Democrat laden congress from passing these catastrophic “climate change” bills, but there are a number of questions they should answer before they destroy our economy. The burden of proof lies on the Man Made Global Warming hysterics, not on those of us who dispute that human activity imperils the Earth.
There are nations and societies that have been established for thousands of years. These include China and Japan, the various countries of the Middle East and European nations like France and Germany. Can any of the hysterics point to a single country, heavily inhabited for centuries that has seen it’s climate change over a long period of time? Has any change proven to be catastrophic and if so, how? Can it be proven that long term, catastrophic climate change is due to man’s activities?
I hear lots of outlandish claims about the Arctic and the poles, but I don’t see anybody point to well established societies that have endured catastrophic warming. I do know that it snowed in Baghdad last summer for the first time in recorded history. Snow in Baghdad leaves me skeptical about rapidly increasing global temperatures.
Another glaring fact from my personal experience deepens my global warming skepticism. It’s a simple fact, but a compelling one. I’ve lived in North Central Florida virtually my entire life. My parents, who’ve been alive longer than me have lived the vast majority of their lives here as well. Collectively, we’ve seen a few droughts, a few periods of unusual temperatures and even a few abnormal hurricane seasons. That being said, we all agree that the basic climate here has remained essentially unchanged throughout our lifetimes.
Considering the outrageous claims of the hysterics, doesn’t it stand to reason that two generations, living in the same area may have noticed a few changes in the weather. I may be a bit self-centric, but I’m not ready to see my family and my country financially bankrupted because Al Gore says we must act to stop something that no one I know has actually experienced for themselves. I’ll defer to my own lying eyes on this one; sorry Al.
The multi millionaire politicians, entertainers and elitists who constantly preach the need for us to succumb to their demands and voluntarily send ourselves back to the 19th century could go a long way in alleviating some skepticism if they’d lead the way by changing their own extravagant lifestyles. Prince Charles, Al Gore, Leonardo DiCrapio and others continue to travel the world in large entourages. They own multiple mansions and leave individual “carbon footprints” the size of a small city. If they really believe the nonsense they spew about fossil fuels killing the planet, they’d change their lifestyles, but they won’t. They’ll simply demand that we commoners return to the grand old agrarian days of old while they jet set the world.
I say to all the global warming chicken littles, put up or shut up. Change your lifestyles first, before you cripple this country. While you’re at it, show me some evidence of man made global warming, you’re unsubstantiated claims don’t cut it with me.
